ResMed delves into data to optimise their sales and supply-chain


The Challenge

ResMed is the developer, manufacturer and distributor of medical equipment for treating sleep-related breathing disorders.

From its inception in Australia in 1989, the company has grown to become a leader in its market, selling products in approximately 100 countries and employing more than 4,100 people. In the 2013/2014 financial year, ResMed reported revenues of US$1.5 billion.

ResMed wanted to use the demand information about its products to optimise freight costs and avoid product outages.

ResMed engaged Cortell to review their requirements and to make the appropriate recommendations.
